This is an update on street-parking concerns that have affected our community since 2015. As many will recall, in 2015 a significant number of vehicles were routinely parked on the street for extended periods of time. This contributed to crowded roadways, reduced visibility near driveways and corners, and raised safety concerns for residents—especially the children who use our playground and families walking through the neighborhood. It also created an emergency-access concern, as fire and/or police vehicles could have limited space to stage and respond during an incident.

I would like to recognize Chuck Crosby, the homebuilder who originally developed our Creekside Gardens community in 2001. Chuck and his assistant spearheaded the effort to improve our parking situation by helping develop a clear, community-wide parking strategy and staying engaged as the plan was communicated and put into practice. They invested significant time coordinating details, responding to questions, and keeping the issue moving forward through consistent follow-up. As a result of their work, we have seen meaningful improvements in day-to-day parking conditions and overall accessibility on our streets.
